Finnish Wartime Photograph Archive - The Finnish Defence Forces put an archive of 160,000 WWII-era photographs online. The images record the war years from 1939 to 1945, spanning three conflicts the Finns recognize as the Winter War (against an invading Soviet Union), the Continuation War (striking against the Soviets alongside the Germans) and the Lapland War (against the Germans for control of Lapland). Click on the link above.

The Genealogical Society of Finland. Mostly in Finnish, but scroll down to Kanada on the bar on the left and click on it to see some English content from Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan, including files on the Copper Cliff Wuoristo membership and the members of the Oikeuden Ohje Temperance Society No 80 in Copper Cliff.

Institute of Migration. Emigrant Register - The Institute of Migration assists genealogists by maintaining the emigrant register, which holds information about tens of thousands of emigrated Finns. The main databases of the register is available online and consist of the passport lists of the County Administrative Boards and magistrates, the passenger lists of the Finland Steamship Company Ltd (FSC) and the so called newspaper and literature reference database.

1921 Census of Canada - This database contains an every-name index to individuals enumerated in the 1921 Canada Census, the sixth census of Canada since confederation in 1867. In addition, the names listed on the population schedules are linked to actual images from the 1921 Census. The census can also be browsed by province, district, and sub-district.
